The Kress chainsaw offers a new level of consistent performance under varying loads, without the risk of stalling. In contrast, in 2-stroke engine chainsaws of similar power, performance can significantly diminish under heavy loads, leading to potential stalling.
Learn moreIt’s physics, not marketing
Internal combustion engines are intrinsically different from electric motors. 2-stroke engines deliver their maximum torque and power at specific RPMs. They need to reach a certain speed to achieve optimal performance. When encountering resistance, like cutting through a large trunk with a chainsaw, the engine's RPM can drop, leading to a decrease in torque, potentially to a point where it cannot overcome the resistance of cutting through hardwood. This reduction in torque can cause the chainsaw to stall, as the engine no longer provides sufficient power to continue the cutting action. This effect can only be mitigated by increasing the motor displacement, at the cost of weight and fuel consumption. Conversely, electric motors deliver maximum torque immediately from zero RPMs. The instant torque availability ensures that the chainsaw maintains cutting power under heavy loads without stalling.
Best cutting efficiency among leading chainsaws
Arborist’s power ally
The KC300 chainsaw's commercial-grade brushless motor delivers exceptional cutting power with the convenience of low maintenance. Designed for arborists, it matches the performance of a 45 cc gas chainsaw while offering a longer runtime and reduced operational costs. Reliable and robust, it's ideal for the demanding conditions professionals face.
Optimized safety integration
Equipped for safety, this chainsaw features an inertial brake, anti-trigger battery lock, dual-action trigger, and side protection on the rear handle. This suite of features reflects our dedication to secure, reliable operations.
Precision tension
Our chainsaw features a tensioning system that’s designed for quick and accurate chain adjustments. The tooled mechanism ensures the chain is consistently at optimal tension, enhancing cutting efficiency and prolonging the life of the chainsaw.
Engineered for Arborists
Kress chainsaw's stainless steel bumper spike delivers enhanced stability and control for precision cuts. Its robust construction ensures lasting durability and excellent cutting efficiency, allowing arborists to work confidently in any setting.
Stainless steel bumper spike
